Dr. Doris Kwok Dellenback as Director of Special Education
Castro Valley, CA – (June 24, 2026) – The Castro Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Doris Kwok Dellenback as the Director of Special Education, approved by the Board of Trustees on June 24, 2026.
Dr. Kwok Dellenback brings nearly 20 years of experience in special education and educational leadership, with a strong commitment to ensuring equitable access, inclusion, and high-quality services for all students. She currently serves as the District's Coordinator for Special Services, where she oversees elementary special education programs and supports districtwide efforts to strengthen services, compliance, and student outcomes.
Dr. Kwok Dellenback is committed to inclusive learning environments and leveraging collaborative leadership to improve student outcomes. As a leader, she has coordinated professional development focused on improving curriculum implementation and culturally responsive instructional practices.
Dr. Kwok Dellenback earned her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from California State University, East Bay, her Master of Science in Special Education from Cal State University Fullerton, and her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in American Sign Language. She also earned her administrative credential from Cal Poly Pomona.
