Proctor School Mission Statement

At Proctor Elementary School we are committed to providing meaningful learning experiences within a supportive, clean, and safe environment where every student is valued. We recognize the mastery of academic skills as a central goal and strive to nurture the healthy emotional, intellectual, social and physical development of each student. We promote an exemplary learning environment where students are self-motivated, excited about learning, and supported by staff and families who lead with high expectations and positive examples. We provide powerful learning experiences designed to deepen thinking, build independence, and spark curiosity. Our highly qualified teachers use effective, research-based strategies and differentiate instruction indepth and complexity so that each student experiences daily success. Students are encouraged to engage in inquiry, research, problem-solving, and the creation of meaningful final products. We use curriculum designed to develop critical thinking and creative expression. It encourages compassion, empathy, responsibility, self-discipline, respect for others, and an appreciation for diversity. We honor the unique abilities and learning styles of our students by adapting instruction to meet individual needs and by integrating appropriate technologies that expand learning opportunities and support student success.
