Proctor Elementary School

Principal's Message

Welcome, proctor families, to the 2026 – 2027 School Year!

Greetings Proctor Families!

Welcome to the 26-27 school year! At Proctor we are focused on academic excellence and community pride. We have a dedicated staff that looks forward to working in partnership with families to meet goals in both areas. We’re introducing TK this year and are excited to meet our new students.

I eagerly await all the powerful experiences that make up a year of learning. We know that school should be rigorous enough to stretch student thinking and joyous enough to keep students interested in participating even when it is challenging. We understand that student achievement occurs both in and outside the classroom. To this end, we provide students with clear expectations and strong support so that each child in our care is able to thrive in the school environment. We had many successes last year and expect our winning traditions to continue.

Unfortunately, we continue to have a high number of students absent each day. We know that families have emergency travel that doesn’t always align with school holidays, but we encourage you to thoughtfully consider the impact of extended holiday travel. Interacting with teachers and peers to truly sharpen our understanding and perspective far outweighs the benefits of completing a few worksheets.

Please take some time to look over the handbook. It will help you become familiar with the school policies and procedures that affect you and your student(s). Should you have questions or concerns, I am reachable through the office phone or by email, dmartin@cv.k12.ca.usA letter from the principal.. You can also visit the proctor website at https://proctor.cv.k12.ca.us/The protor website address to find out more about Proctor and learn what it means to be a part of the Proctor P.R.I.D.E.

Here’s to a wonderful 2026-27 school year, a year of unity and learning, a year of P.R.I.D.E.
